Day One: Arrival in Libreville
Upon arrival at the Airport, you will be welcomed by the guide from Afrikan Wildlife Safaris and then transfer you t the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day Two: Libreville to Franceville
This morning, your guide will drive you to Léon Mba airport for the domestic flight scheduled at 7:30 am to Franceville. Then you will go to Port Omboue for a boat ride on gorilla island, meet scientists who will explain the program of habituation, gorillas, Proceed to Evengué and have lunch at Olako hotel. Later take a boat to visit the Catholic mission of St, Anne, in the heart of a vast bamboo forest to see the Church built by Gustave Eiffel at the end of the 19th century. Hiking through the incredible Bamboo forest ecosystem where sometimes traditional ceremonies take place, with its vegetation, its many species of birds… and its Church of Saint Anne is a pretty fantastic place. Return to the hotel Olako for dinner and overnight.
Day Three: Evenghe, Mpivie River and Loango
For this day, you will take a boat to Mpivié river to visit the crocodile river and check out for several species of birds. Explore the river Loango Base Camp for a beautiful landscape with the possibility to see elephants buffaloes. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day Four: Tassi Region
Today you will head to Tassi, one of the spécial places prized by éléphants to travel by sea during the rainy season (from October to April). The camp is ideally located between the beach, savannah, and forest. Dinner and overnight at Camp Tassi. In turtle season (October to February), venture out at night with our expert guide to search for nesting marine turtles. Four species of marine turtles can be found nesting on Gabon’s beaches.
Day Five: Tassi to Loango
On this day, you will return to Loango Lodge, lunch at Loango Lodge. Visit St. Catherine’s. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day Six: Akaka
Akaka is an exceptional site, just south of Loango Park. The safaris are done by boat. You will see elephants, buffaloes and hippos. Elephants swim and cross rivers. In the dry season (May/September), you spend a full day at the Akaka site, one of the most remote places in Loango Park. It is the ideal place to see the elephants bathing in the river. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day Seven: Akaka to Loango and Evengue
After breakfast, return to Loango on a boat. On arrival, have lunch and then transfer to Evengué in three hours of road Installation in Evengué Olako for dinner and overnight.
Day Eight: Port Omboue
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Port Gentil for a domestic flight to Libreville. later you will connect your next flight back home
