Fourteen Days Ethiopia Cultural Adventure

 

Day One: Arrival

Arrive in Addis and make a city tour including the National Museum of Ethiopia, the Ethnological museum, Entoto Hell for the complete view of Addis, and Silasie cathedral and the biggest market in Africa Mercato. overnight at Brooklyn Hotel or similar

 

Day Two: Lalibela

After breakfast, you will fly to Lalibela and visit the first and the 3rd groups of the underground rocky hewn churches of Lalibela. overnight at Honey Land Hotel or Similar

 

Day Three:  Lalibela

You Vist the 2nd group of churches of Lalibela. Overnight  at Honey Land Hotel or Similar

 

Day Four: Gondar

Fly to Gondar via Addis. no direct flight schedule from Lalibela. overnight at AG hotel or similar

 

Day Five: Gondar

Explore the ancient city of Gondar including the Emperor’s castle and emperor Fasiledes’s bathroom, Debre Birhan Silasie church. overnight  at AG hotel or similar

 

Day Six: Bahir Dar

Drive to Bahir Dar and on the way visit Awra Amba community and continue to the blue Nile falls. Overnight at Jacaranda hotel or similar.

 

Day Seven: Lake Tana

Make a boat trip to Lake Tana monasteries including the famous Ura Kindene Mihiret and Aziwa Mariam churches and the outlet of the blue nile river for some chance to watch wetland birds and hippos. Overnight Jacaranda hotel or similar

 

Day Eight: Arba Minch

Fly to Addis and drive from Addis to Arba Minch. Overnight at Haile resort or similar.

 

Day Nine: Konso village

You will drive to Konso village and enjoy the Konso people are well known for their distinctive religious and cultural traditions including their unique funerary rituals involving elaborate music and dance. Konso culture is also famous for its carved wood statues called wagas, which memorialize important people in the community. Overnight hotel Jinak resort or similar

Day Ten: Mursi tribe

Excursion to Mursi tribe, Jinka Museum, drive to Turmi. Overnight at Turmi Lodge or similar.

Day Eleven: Karo and Hamer tribes

Visit Karo and Hamer tribes. Overnight  at Turmi Lodge or similar.

Day Twelve: Arba Minch

Return to Arba Minch. Overnight  at Haile resort or similar

Day Thirteen: Dorze tribe 

Morning visit Dorze tribe  and drive to Awasa and make a boat trip. Overnight at Haile resort or similar.

 

Day Fourteen: Addis Ababa and fly out

From Awasa drive to Addis Ababa and end of the trip.
