Highlights: South Africa and Mozambique – Bilene Turtles, Morrungulo Beach, Bazaruto Archipelago, Dhow Safari, Barra Reef Beach, Ocean Safari, Tofo Beach

Day 1: Mozambique (Bilene)

After breakfast, you will drive from the top of the plateau down to Nelspruit. After visiting Nelspruit, you will head to the border of Mozambique, via the southern point of the Kruger National Park. You will go through the border formalities then proceed to Bilene, a small town surrounded by inland lakes. Dinner and overnight at the recommended hotel/lodge. Full board basis.

Day 2: Bilene

In the morning, have a cup of coffee before you go for swimming in the clear waters of the inland lake. Then you will be back for a healthy breakfast. Then you can relax on the beach at the campsites around. Later in the afternoon, the guide will arrange a boat trip to the inland lake and the beaches of the Indian Ocean. Or you can preferably have a guided village walk along the beach where you may be lucky and see Hawksbill and Green Turtles which reside in this area. You can as well visit the curio shops nearby for souvenirs. Dinner and overnight at the recommended hotel/lodge. Full board basis.

Day 3: Morrungulo

After breakfast, you will depart Bilene and head further north through the towns of Xai Xai and Maxixe and go through the coconut plantations to get to of Morrungulo. Later in the afternoon, you can decide to go for swimming in the Indian Ocean. . Dinner and overnight at the recommended hotel/lodge. Full board basis.

Days 4 and 5: Bazaruto Archipelago

Early breakfast and then continue further north to the Bazaruto Archipelago. Enjoy part of your day at the Vilankulo beach. Later in the afternoon, take a boat cruise to one of the islands where you will see different fish species and the Green and Leather-Back Turtles and Manta Rays. . Dinner and overnight at the recommended hotel/lodge. Full board basis.

Days 6, 7 and 8: Barra Reef Beach

After breakfast, drive north of the country to Inhambane town, check on the curio shops in this town before you head for Barra Beach where you find many fish species and turtles like Green and Leather-Back Turtles, Manta Rays and the Whale Shark.  For the divers, here you can go for diving. Dinner and overnight at the recommended hotel/lodge. Full board basis.

Days 9 and 10: Tofo Beach

Early morning breakfast, then proceed to Tofo Beach. You will get a lot of time for swimming in different areas and settings and sunbathing, playing beach volleyball and going down to the beach bar for sundowners. Down here you will have a chance to taste the local dishes or sea food. Then the guide makes arrangements for the Ocean tour. For those who want to surf, this is the opportunity even those who want to take surfing lessons, you equally have the same opportunity. Dinner and overnight at the recommended hotel/lodge. Full board basis.

 

Day 11: Marloth Park (South Africa)

After breakfast, you will proceed to South Africa via Maputo the capital of Mozambique. Go through the border formalities. It will take a short time to Marloth Park for dinner and overnight. Marloth is a wildlife sanctuary near the Kruger National Park where you may sight some wildlife. . Dinner and overnight at the recommended hotel/lodge. Full board basis.

Day 12: Return to Johannesburg & Pretoria

After breakfast, drive to Johannesburg and Pretoria for the city tour and cultural performances and  you can check on the curio shops before you fly back home.
