Oasis Adventure
This adventure will give you a chance to explore the wonders of Algeria from the Sahara dunes to oasis towns. Day One: Arrival in Algiers
On your arrival at the Houari Boumedienne airport, the guide from Afrikan wildlife Safaris will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. Depending on the time of your arrival, you may o for the Algiers city tour.
Day Two: Bou-Saada and Biskra
After breakfast, travel to Bou-Saada ‘city of happiness’ in Arabic, through the Gorges of Chiffa which mark the boundary between the northern Mediterranean and highland areas and the beginning of the Sahara. Then in the afternoon, go to the beautiful oasis city of Biskra. On the way to Biskra you will visit the Chaib valley, which will allow you to experience the gateway to the Sahara. Upon arrival you will take a walk through the city and have dinner at the hotel.
Day Three: El-Oued
This morning, you will have an excursion to the beautiful Aures Mountains followed by a visit of the M’Chouneche palm grove and Balcons de Ghoufi (huge twisting canyon that should not be missed). After the vist, return to Biskra and have free time in the city center. In the afternoon you will begin your travels to El-Oued, ‘the city of 1,000 domes’. On the way you will visit the Chott El Melghir. If time permits we can arrange for a stop to enjoy the beautiful sunset from the dunes on the road to Nekhla. Dinner and night in the hotel.
Day Four: Touggourt
Today after your breakfast, you will visit the museum and the city with its picturesque market. In the afternoon you will depart for Touggourt and as you travel you will be surrounded by a breath-taking sea of sand. On the way you will stop at Ghout which is a small oasis protected from sand with palms. In the afternoon you will take an excursion to the Zaouia of Tidjani, which dates back to the 13th century in Tamalhat. Return to Touggourt by Témacine where you can find and old Ksar. In Touggourt, you will have some leisure time. Dinner and night in the hotel.
Day Five: Ouragla and Ghardaia
On this day, you will travel to Ouargla where you will visit the Sahara museum in the old city. You will also have free time to check on the market, which is famous for the sand roses. Further travel up to Ghardaia where you will visit the palms and dam which shares a system of water from the Oued Zab. Visit the city of Beni-Isguen and its market. Dinner and night in the hotel.
Day Six: M’Zab valley
You will have a full Day Tour of M’Zab valley including El Atteuf, Bou Noura and Ghardaia.
Day Seven: Laghouat and Bou-Saada
After breakfast you will have some free time to relax and then travels to Laghouat. On the way you will visit Djelfa and the small village, El-Hamel. Late in the afternoon you will return to Bou-Saada and have dinner at the hotel.
Day Eight: Bou-Saada and Algiers
In the morning after breakfast, you will return to Algiers. On your way you will travel through the Lakhdaria Gorges (previously named Palestro). Here you will see the Riadh El-Feth. Upon arrival in Algiers you will take a city walk in Algiers and the lower Casbah. Dinner will be at the hotel.
Day 9: Fly out
After breakfast transfer to the airport in Algiers to catch your flight back home.
